Mikuni Carb

I have a Mikuni carb on my atv and I"m not having any luck finding information on how to adjust it properly. I have no service manual for it and I can't find any information for my particular carb on the web. I know there is a way to set the float height for it but can't find an answer anywhere online. I have found some vids on Youtube on how to set the float height without measuring tools, you simply have to invert the carb and adjust the float until it's level with the carb body where the bowl fits up against. My question is, for a slanted bowl and body on a Mikuni, do you use the same method of making the float and the carb body parallel? The pics are for demonstration purposes only but my carb has the same angle. I also included the link for the tool-free carb adjustment.

Thanks people!

Hi, thx for the reply. I have a 02 Trail boss, 325cc, 2x4, 4 stroke. So I just need to follow the video I posted, never mind the angle of the bowl and body, just adjust it so the float sits parallel 90 degrees to the carb body and not parallel to the angle, thx! That angle really messed me up. P.S I don't have any vernier calipers or that float adjustment tool right now. Thx to Latebird also for the reply.

Update - 4/28/20

I used the float adjusting method outlined in the video above on the Mikuni and it worked great, starts and runs great now, not too rich or too lean. The slant of the Mikuni carb body and bowl threw me off but when using the tool free technique, just follow it like you would if it were flat, 90 degrees to the carb body will give you a good ratio. Should run even better when I get another Mikuni on the Boss instead of the cheap Chinese clone I got on there now. Hope this helps another person out just learning about carbs!
