on my 01 trailboss 325 ive repalced the front and rear sprocket along with the chain to see if i could get rid of a clatter type noise when letting off the gas and that didnt work. i changed the belt and still no dice. you can give it all the gas in the world when going forward or backwards but as soon as you let off the gas it makes a horrible clatter but give it gas again and it does just fine. doesnt do it in reverse. ive changed the tranny fluid and no shavings or anything. i just cant figure out what is going on. also got a oil line leaking at the bottom of the motor. new hose maybe? new clutch? thanks for any help guys

Try taking the clutch cover off and either riding it in a dry environment or running it jacked up and see if the noise gets louder?
