450’s are known for fouling those crappy Champion plugs. Get yourself a set of NGK’s and a spare set to keep in the storage box and you’ll be good to go.

Wow. I've put just over 100 hours and around 1,900 kms on my 2021 and have never had an issue with a fouled plug. I haven't had any issues whatsoever actually, but I guess it never hurts to have a spare plug along for the ride.

I picked up a couple NGK BKR6E's to have a few on hand.. We are using the machine on our farm property, so there are a lot of short runs.. The dealership's service department mentioned that this is what causes the fowling.. Polaris must have the EFI set up on the rich side..

What were the symptoms of the fouled plug? I have had issues with mine stalling after going in reverse and stopping to shift into gear. Also stalled when I was revving it in park. Wondering if I’m having the same issue.

What were the symptoms of the fouled plug?
Hard starting/not starting
Letting machine idle 5+ minutes without riding
Starting just to hear it run.
Riding at low RPM's
Unburned fuel will foul a spark plug.
Normally hapens to new owners/riders.

Ask me how I know.

Yep.. We have all of that.. Actually still do with the new plug installed. I've been told that getting the engine good and hot is important.. Also been told the NGK plugs are better.
