New 570 price

Been a while since I posted due to selling my HO last year but I have been looking at getting back into it. Really like the 570's and am going to the dealer this weekend to see one in person. Never bought a new ATV before and am worried about getting screwed on price. What is considered a good deal on one of these things out the door? I'm looking at the base model 570, don't need power steering.

i seriously doubt that's an otd price. Maybe before taxes and setup
here in tn we can only collect taxes from tn residents due to federal regulations so tn residents pay$5912.41 $5399.00 is for out of tn residents yes its out the door we charge no fees nor do we play games we just sale atv's thanks guys
like i said, the $5399.00 570 was originally in alabama, and now you talk about being in tennessee. But your claim is very shady because the otd price you quote is only for out of state customers, and that is not a good definition for anyone that walks in to buy. Otd means otd for anyone, not just your out of state customers
so i'm lost here i clearly posted tn and out of state prices i cant control state taxes i'm sorry as for being shady i dont play games come see for yourself i have the best out the door prices please contact me if you are confused ill be glad to help in any way thanks

QUOTE Call marc for the best polaris prices 423-238-4321 $5399 out the door not trying to advertise but dont let your local dealer get one over on you

This says OTD, no mention on any taxes at all. What part of out the door don't you understand. I being from Tennessee, if I had driven to your location for a 570, I would have expected to walk out the door with a new 570 for 5399Had your original post explained that in state customers would be taxed that would be a different situation. You just used a cheap salesman trick to false advertise, and got caught. That crosses you off of my places to shop in the future
Then be shure to check out shoals outdoors in al $5399 out the door
Well I live in GA and am certainly interested in $5399 out the door. I saw your post earlier while I was on the road and called your dealer (may have been you I spoke to).

I went to 2 dealers today that are local to me. For the 570 both of them wanted the MSRP of $6499 plus tax and additional fees. One dealer quoted me $1000 in fees and the other $600. Neither seemed willing to work on price much but said there might be a little wiggle room of a couple hundred. Seems insane that they expect me to pay $8000 for a base model 570.

Hey MARCPROX, as I said in my earlier post I am probably not purchasing anything immediately but sometime in the near future. I will be in touch.

I agree, $1000 in fees is crazy. Just to give you an idea, I paid $90 is fees, not including about $350 in tax. The $90 covered license, document fees and set up.
Well that's good information and I appreciate everyone who has responded. The local dealers are trying to screw me which is what I was afraid of.

easy vandal. dont know why you are so upset. I have no dog in this fight. everyone is just looking for the best deal and these guys seem to have it.

I called down there and they seem legit. Legit as in if I showed up with 5399 in cash i could leave with a new 570 in my truck. period.

Oh and about the OTD and Tax thing... quads aside when is the last time you have seen something advertised with tax included?? I mean anything. Food, clothes, general retail items. It is not shady imo to advertise before tax. Its not the dealer fee, its imposed by the state.

discussions like this help guys get the best price, attacking someone doesn't help

Because OTD means tax included. I don't have a dog in the fight either but if my dealer told me $5399 OTD and I showed up cash-in-hand, then they told me that's only for out-of-state residents, I'd be pissed off too.
Ok. Time out please.

It's reasonable that an OTD price could be different for an " in Stater " vs an " out of Stater ".

I bought my Outlaw from a dealer in the state of Maine. I did not have to pay sales tax AT THAT TIME. When I registered the Outlaw here in NY, I had to pay NY sales tax. The same thing happened when I bought my boat last spring.

The same thing happens when any of us buys something on Ebay.

So, if some of the confusion in this thread is because of in-state vs out-of-state purchaser, well one can't fault the dealer for enforcing State sales tax policy. He has no choice.
What does the touring 570 cost down south?

MSRP - $7699 USD, I'm guessing with some of the rebates people are getting maybe around $7k?

You're right as to faulting the dealer for collecting taxes, but that dealer should not quote and out the door price without including those taxes, or explaining to people that this OTD price is only for out of state sales. Like others and myself have said OTD is exactly what it means, not just a gimmick to get your attention and then screw in staters when they show up to buy for the OTD price that was stated. That is just the way dealers try to generate traffic. Like I said before, if I had traveled a couple hundred miles and then was told that the OTD price was only if I didn't live in the state, I'd have been really pissed as anyone would have been. Not trying to cause trouble, but to quote one price, and then not sell for that price isn't right, unless a price difference is explained up front, and this man didn't do that in his original post
