Hello Just joined and have an very old Polaris Big Boss 1995 that i am trying to get back to running shape. Tried to find a manual specific to this beast but no luck just generic versions that don't help. I am trying to do a simple oil change (if those two go together)LOL.... and need some help in identifying some parts that a real manual would have with directions which i cannot find anywheres........

What oil you trying to change?
Its chain drive so there is only grease fittings for the front, middle and rear drives.
The engine is 2 stroke so there is no motor oil.
The 2 stroke oil tank don't have a drain. You'll have to remove the oil line if you want to change it. Use ONLY good quality 2 stroke INJECTOR oil.
In the second pic, the crankcase counter balancer has drain plugs #6 (the #6 plug on top of the head is to bleed air out of the cooling system), a fill plug #29 and a dipstick #43 to check the oil level.
In the third pic, the gearcase/tranny drain is #49 and #51 is the dipstick where you fill it up and check the level.

Good evening. I just picked up and got taken on a 1995 polaris 400 big boss 6x6. Needs a lot more work than advertised but that's on fb and me. I cannot find the drain plug to drain the tranny fluid. I got a service manual online but that doesn't help to find the actual plug. I'm underneath and there's a 19mm nut on the bottom side that's a bugger to get off. Is that the plug? There are no obvious plugs on the underside besides this one. Any help is appreciated.
