Hi, yup newbie here. Just finished adding the gear reduction kit (14%) and clutch kit from team industries on my 09 xp850. WOW what a difference.
Yup took pics too....and some vid.

Quite an interesting job, and just curious about the final results.

I use my 850 for trail riding mostly. Does the reduction still leave you with some decent speed in low gear? On paper, it looks like it should. I know high gear will give better acceleration, so no need to ask about that, huh?!!

Hey, something to think about in the future for my machine...

Same, mostly trail riding. I've got 28" zillas on this machine and I figure that I've gone up about 10% in tire height and the gear reduction brought me down 14%.... so about 4% less than with the stock tires...So yes it does rev faster and still goes just about as fast in low and high range. Great part is I also used a team clutch kit too...just the high altitude kit and now with the 28's it wheelies so easy now...I love it..ohhh and for the most part, you wouldn't have to use low that often anymore. With the stock tires I was climing some big inclines in high gear, low just for the sticky stuff..
