Greetings fellow Polaris enthusiasts. I Just picked up a 400L for $300. I found the 85-95 service manual, ordered a chain guard and replaced the drive belt. Now I'm in the process of replacing the leaky petcock, gluing the coolant overflow tank, and troubleshooting the Demand 4 Front Wheel Drive.

I've been following the atv-92-04 service bulitin. The fourth step in 8.22 says the gray terminal and brown terminal should read 0 volts when the throttle is closed, but it reads about 1.5V no matter if the throttle is opened or closed. The brown and gray Demand-4 drive wires were reversed, but switching them made no difference. Where does the yellow wire from the Demand-4 button go?

I found these two wires (see link) going nowhere. Anybody know where they are supposed to go?

Browsing Feebay and I see that set of wires is for the light on my non-existant speedometer.

The yellow wire from the AWD switch is tied into the gray/white wire. I'm not sure that's the way it should be...
