Hi hope someone can help, working on a 2015 polaris sportsman 850sp. When i got it needed a trans which i replaced no problem bike ran fine. New trans in and bike wont start has a bad crank position sensor that is on order. Now since i got it the check engine light has been on and i was trying to get into diagnostic mode and it wont go into it as there is no gear display on the dash. I have checked the trans switch as per the manual and all good, checked the resistor in the switch at ECM as per manual and all good, checked the CAN as per manual and all good. When the key is first turned on all the lights come on during test sequence including the N light but once sequence is done nothing comes up on led display or the green N when its in neutral. The guy who owned this thing liked mud and water as this thing was a mess and yes i did power wash it. If everything is ok switches resistors fuses all connectors have dielectric grease on them is it the speedometer itself that is bad? Kind of at wits end with this thing been working on it on and off for two weeks even went as far as replacing ECM and its always the same result. Thanks in advance

OK - so the gear selector switch passes the tests and the ECM has the correct outputs to the PIDD - then the PIDD is defective or may possibly be corrected with Digital Wrench software - if you have the software on a computer and the interlink to connect it to the vehicle, see what fault is indicated.
