Hey all, I ride at least 3 weekends every month here in the desert, all are trail rides, rock crawling and about 30mph or less.

Any recommendations for oil change intervals? I currently do a change in the spring and in the fall. I have no hour meter or odo to know for sure. Should I be changing it more frequently, due to the AZ heat?

I just installed this on my son's 2018 Polaris Outlaw 110 EFI. It keeps track of Total HRS, HRS between next maintenance service and RPM. I only use the RPM to make sure the bike is idling correctly but the hrs gauge helps keep track of his total hours. (SUPER Easy to install also, takes 5 minutes for a nice clean look).

Changing Oil 2 times a year should good but then again you ride 3x month but for how many hours each time?

I change my oil about every 25hrs but that equivalent to 1x year. If we're not on the trails riding then we're either on the lake with the boat or at Six Flags (Yes another Season Pass - LOL) or at the Dallas Zoo (Yes another Season Pass but at least we alternate each year) or camping ?

I change mine every 50hrs. Maybe one of your riding buds can keep track of the hours and miles of your rides. You can also utilize a GPS app on your phone for miles and hours riding out on the trail.

A lot of the older machines didn't have anything. 89 Trail Boss, neither of my Magnums, buddies 01 scrambler and the 03 Predator 90 that I have for the grand kids. None of the new youth machines come with a tach or hour meter either. I have added an hour meter from Hardline products to the MOSE Magnum and a speedo kit to the other magnum so I can keep track of hours at least.

I also do oil changes every 50hrs.

OP: You are probably alright with spring and fall if you are using a good synthetic oil. Since you are out 3 weekends a month, I would add an hour meter or ask a buddy to keep track to be sure. Engine hours can add up faster than you think they will.

Well lets use your 3 weekends a month figure (do you ride Sat and Sun?) 6 days a month x 12 months = 72 riding days a year so now we need to know how long your rides are, I'm guessing Sun rides are shorter, minus a few of those 72 days are just not nice days to ride so lets say you ride 60 days a year for ? hours...
Now assuming you're running a quality synthetic oil, I'd say once year is ok, more if you want, surely won't hurt it.

60-90 days? wow that's often but it's only 2 qts. so not costing much...

It's difficult to do damage changing to oil too frequently, but don't change frequently enough and damage will occur

Thank you for all the replies, I will continue the changes every fall and spring. Maybe I'll throw in one more changes this summer, it's a early summer this year in AZ!
