Hello. I'm overdue for my first oil change and have never done one before. I have a 2012 Sportsman X2 550. I have an oil change kit that, of course, doesn't include the plug washer that the manual says must be replaced. I've been trying to find it online and am getting frustrated. I live in a remote community and need to know part number, etc to place an order.

Also, does anyone know the socket size that I need for the oil plug?

I have to say that I am less than impressed with my dealer service (or lack of) and that the Polaris oil change kit does not include all the things needed for an oil change!

I have never changed the washer on the plug. I give it a good going over to make sure it is OK and just put it back on. I have never had any problems by not changing it. If it isn't cracked just use it again.

I use a T-50 torx bit...and 3 oil changes never changed washer( "'ve never even looked at it) and never had a problem with it.
