Well, it's the mechanics choice - myself, I would replace both even if I had to cut my own - you do what you are comfortable with, but if I took that much effort to fix something, I would not shortchange the sealing and do a Micky Mouse job of completing the repair - if I'm doing it, then it's getting done right - it's how I do things and it irritates the hell out of me when I am tasked with fixing something that somebody else effed up by taking shortcuts and being a cheapskate - it always results in more work and expense down the road.

I will see about cutting the big one.
You ok to use silicone on the inner one that is surrounded by oil.
Sorry
Missed part of you last comment.
Yes the cup aspirated for the shaft ....
The parts that fell out of that thing scared me 😂
But there was no warning when it happened.
I was watching my son go up the side of a small hill.
It just stopped moving .
He shut it down .
I towed him home

Turns out there was a gasket there after all on the inner centrifical clutch case
It's made of metal
It's super thin
Micro
I managed to save it all in one piece
I have put a couple minor scratches on it
I plan to reuse it how do I save it

OK - yeah it's a shim - lightly coat both sides with Threebond 1187, Hondabond or one of the other plastic sealants that I mentioned previously.

Well I went in between
Just saw your message now but I got it done an hour ago.
I put the impact back on it.
I laid it hit a couple of times only after snug and staked it
Covers on with the metal shim a smear of adhesive on both sides don't look back
But thank you for your reply
Everything seems to be good when I pull the crank it fully engages going away during engages right away
Everything seems snug.
Just waiting for the transmission gasket to arrived and I can put it back on the road
So far so good thank you so much for all your help and advice

Well things are progressing well....
Wow . The amount of time to get this done is very disappointing ☹ .
Polaris really was out to lunch on this ATV .
Does anyone know that if once this repair done with the upgrades bearing and new centrifical clutch .
Will it last ?
Or dump it Asap?
The new one way bearing was stamped
JAPAN.
That made me feel better
