Hey everyone

I just purchased a new 2021 Outlaw 110 for my son for Christmas. We ran it the day after Christmas and the machine works amazing!!! Sounds like my 400ex and actually very quick for a youth atv.

Today, my son ran it for about 15mins and the check engine light turned on. It stays lit either when running or when key is just turned to on position. Have not noticed any mechanical issues or change in performance. I have not run the machine since and not going to until I get some more information. Called the dealer, but they are closed until Jan 4th.

Thanks for the help!

We had the same problem on both the Outlaw 110 and Outlaw 70.

in both cases, the batteries were inadequately charged. I ended up replace one on a 2 month old machine due to bad cells.

I had the same issue with my sons Outlaw 110, took it back to the dealer and they replaced the battery under warranty. A year later same issue, anyone know what else the issue could be? The manual just references an efi problem.

The charging system is inadequate to fully charge the battery unless the engine is kept above 3000 rpm - kids have a tendency to operate at a low speed and over use the brakes and lights. If the battery is charged daily with a 1.25 or less amp output automatic battery charger (Battery Tender*) the battery may last 2 or 3 years. Plug the Battery Tender into a outlet timer and turn it on for about an hour each day when the vehicle is not being used to attain maximum battery life.
