I have a couple of plastic Push Tab holes that have broken out. I've sandwiched them between a couple washers. It works, but is not very aesthetic.

Does anyone have enough actual experience in welding plastic to know if this is a viable fix? I have seen the actual kit available at Harbor. Is it ok?

Thanks. (Fortunately it's Camo so should be more forgiving)

It can be a good fix but not always the best fix.

First you must match the base plastic with the filler rod. To do this look around your machine for some plastic maybe under the seat or someplace else where you can snip off a piece. That will be your filler rod.

Now you can use a solder gun but it isn't easy and it doesn't work as well as an air welder.

Go guy the cheap filler rod at Harbor frieght and play around with it with your solder gun or iron.

When you have become good at it then go and do it on your bike using the piece of actual base plastic you cut off your bike.

I have used thin stainless tie wire first and then welded the plastic on top. This seems to make a super repair.
