hi I was wondering if the body (plastics) from a 2002 500 will fit on my 2004 400? thanks

I think the body panels should work..... the only real difference should be the grill, the headlight pod and the racks have a slightly different design pattern.

They guy who sold you this must have not known what he had then. That's a 2005 model, the first year they went with that new design. Looks like your missing the black piece between the tank and seat, should be able to locate a good used one on ebay, if your wanting a new one check out polarispartshouse.com or partzilla.com but it'll be expensive.
