I was changing oil on my 500HO and my wives. Mine is a 2012 and hers is a 2013. My wheel had more play than i thought it should so i pulled it and started inspecting. The play seemed to be coming from the hub area. Is this normal? I tried to tighten the castle nut but couldn't get it any tighter. When i inspected my wife's quad it had no play whatsoever. Am i missing something or should i be looking at something else. P/S the quad has only 400 miles on it, is this normal?

Thanks for the responses...

Where is the play at? Things I can think of, a-arm bushings, tie-rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, or wheel bearing. Over tightening the castle nut on the hub can do more harm than good.

is it play in the actual axle or play in the suspension? that's the real question.

First time I found play in the LF it was the control arm bolts to the frame that were loose. The entire A-arm assembly was wobblin around. Last time @ 2000km it was the wheel bearing.
