Hey guys hope someone can help me. I have a 2013 sportsman 500 and i had it in some deep water last summer, remember that. So it was idling at about 800 rpm and i wanted to turn it up. I tried to turn it up and the idle screw will not turn. so i opened the little panel to gain access where idle screw and throttle cable go in and it is full of mudd, corroded just a mess. so i took the carb off removed throttle valve and shaft so i could clean it to a tee. put it back together and now when i start the quad it idles at 3500 4500 rpm and the idle screw is turned completly out. any help

Ensure throttle cable isn't binding on something around the handlebars or behind the pod. Try pushing it back from handlebar into pod area, sounds like its binding...Luck.
