I thought I’d share info on this Industrial Rubber Plow Edge I installed to plow my Long A$$ gravel driveway. It works great with minimal loss of gravel. I installed the 1” thick, 4” wide and 66” long on mine. The material can be ordered in any length and several thicknesses and heights. It is also used in many state plow dump trucks. Here is the info and discount code.

725 PSI is the 1” thick and that’s what I ordered. I looked it up, my 4” wide 1” thick 66” long edge was 65$ shipped…..really can’t beat that. Also, this stuff wears great, I used it 4 times last year and it shows no wear at all. I was very surprised at that.

I bought a polyurethane cutting edge from Fallline a few years ago and it's still going strong. I plow mainly concrete or asphalt.

Around here, once frozen then it stays frozen. The feet don't dig in and I adjust them at full height to help avoid catching the blade on hard obstacles. I've got 450 feet of packed gravel driveway, but about half is pretty rough ... construction grade driveway. The blade angle trip shear pin lasts about 1-1/2 seasons before busting ... and I plow as carefully as I can, only going barely fast enough to keep the snow moving. I'm happy with how tough these plows are.

That is how I do it to. I don't plow until I have driven on the driveway with the cars and is all packed down solid. Then the feet just slide on the packed snow. Once it gets hard and icy, I can plow as fast as I want. When I drive the cars on it, I just move over a tire width each time I come and go until all packed down solid.

My drive is around 700 foot or so. I don't need it to be cleaned down to the gravel, just need to be able to get in and out. I drop my plow to the ground, lift it a couple inches and start plowing. Leaving a couple inches of snow is not a problem, especially once it gets driven on a couple times.
