Plow Edge, Industrial Rubber

I thought I’d share info on this Industrial Rubber Plow Edge I installed to plow my Long A$$ gravel driveway. It works great with minimal loss of gravel. I installed the 1” thick, 4” wide and 66” long on mine. The material can be ordered in any length and several thicknesses and heights. It is also used in many state plow dump trucks. Here is the info and discount code.

In the past I have welded on Hard Facing welding rod, same thing they weld on Scraper and Dozer blades, lasts for years on an ATV blade.

My drive is around 700 foot or so. I don't need it to be cleaned down to the gravel, just need to be able to get in and out. I drop my plow to the ground, lift it a couple inches and start plowing. Leaving a couple inches of snow is not a problem, especially once it gets driven on a couple times.
Exactly. 4" or less new snow doesn't get plowed. It gets driven on. I keep the plow feet at full extension ... just take the snow down to 'just drive on it' depth and save wear and tear on both the plow and the driveway, and for me, reduce the chances of hitting a bad root, rock, or hard block of ice ... and I still bust a shear pin now and then - good thing they're two-ended and you can just flip it over and use it again ... takes 5 minutes!
Added the 1x4" 725 strip to my plow. Looks good and waiting for more snow to give it a try. Looks like a big squeegee. I'm hoping it'll work nicely on my 350' gravel driveway and a good sized parking area. Update at the next snowfall.
