I just bought a 2001 Polaris Magnum 325 2x4. It in good shape besides having one issue. It is ok at idling once I put some fresh gas in it. But once I get it to full throttle, the engine cuts out (but doesn't die) it just seems like you can only rev it so far or it will cut out again (it happens in all gears, high, low and reverse). The only fix I found for it is pulling the choke out and pushing it back in. That seems to help and it runs fine after that. At least until I put it to full throttle again. Any ideas of what could be going on?

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Check fuel filter and fuel pump. Could be the main jet needle too or if it has been sitting a while before you got it gunk built up in the carb plugging the jets.

Thanks stave7119.
Just wondering. Out of those three possibilities, which one would be the easiest/cheapest to fix first? Or should all of these things be replaced? How do you know if a fuel filter, pump or jets have gone bad?
And how difficult is it to work on this kind of stuff?
I'm not a mechanic by any means, but i'm willing to give it a try. Haha.
