I have a 2000 Polaris magnum 325 that I replaced the Primary and belt on.The primary was missing the buttons completely and the sheaves were warped. I took apart the secondary to inspect it. It is missing the buttons ordering those now. BUT, my questions is what is the stock spring set up on these? Is it 2-2? and once its together should I be able to spin the sheaves alittle before feeling the pressure of the spring? I will have other clutch questions to follow, I'm sure.

Stock is 1-2 I think. You will be able to move it, but not easily. I forget which way you want to go to change performance. If your buttons are gone, you probably need the Helix too. You would have had metal on metal in there which probably caused damage to the Helix. At least check it carefully and smooth out the ramps where it runs on the buttons so you don't just tear up the buttons right away. Replace it if you have any question. I think it's only about $40.
