Polaris Sportsman 300 2007 how would you wire an ignition

Hey I was wondering how you would wire a ignition if any one could pls help me I would really appreciate it. And one more thing I have a question about is that the pull start on my four wheeler is very hard to pull?

Connect red/blk to red/wht then momentarily connect wht/red to the either the r red/wht or red/blk to energize the solenoid to crank the engine
