Having problems with my polaris sportsman 500. Nothing works, when I turn the ignition key, the speedometer dosent work, not a sound anywhere its completely dead. It stood outside for some time and about a year ago it completely died. We got it draged into an garage, and I tried working on it as an project, nothing works. It has 12V in the battery. When i used an starter on it, it turned so thats a good sign. So I think the problem lays somewhere with the key not giving out power. Any tips on how to get it working?

Simple basic electrical trouble shooting - battery has 12v - on the 99 500 it goes from the battery to the key switch via the red wire - when the key switch is on the red/blk wire has 12v - red/blk goes to the LH switch assy and when in the run position connects red/blk to red/wht - red/wht supplies the chassis wiring - just figure out where the power is lost
