A slight amount of play in the bars is normal. The power steering should only be active at lower speeds and become much less active as your speed increases. At 25 or 30 the power steering should be almost neutral and is no longer needed.

What machine do you have and how many miles/hours. Sounds like you may have a mechanical problem or something is bent.

Well if water did get into the EPS then you may have all sorts of problems. I ride with 5 friends and one other guy. We all own 550 and 850 XPs. The oldest being 2011. Not one of them have ever been back to a dealer for any problem except scheduled maintenance.

If you did get onto water deep enough to submerge the EPS unit, Polaris will probably do nothing for you.

I hope it all works out for you, let us know.

I went with a friend today to pick up his 570 from service. I asked the service manager about the EPS. He told me that Polaris has come out with a kit to address some of the problems with the EPS not working. He said he has not seen your problem before as I tried to explain it to him. I forgot to ask what the price of the kit was.

sticky steering

ok thanks for that i think the kit might be to solve the play in the steering ive orderd a part to fix mine it is the part that your tierods hook into under the eps unit and the shaft from the eps go in it it has a bushing and a splined collar for the shaft to go in mine a 2013 an under is just a collar and the shaft will were in it a little and thats were all the play comes from its actualy quit a bit of play when your driveing the fix for it is to order the same part off a 2014 sportsman they fixed the problem by makeing this collar a pinch coolar with the bolt on the side to tightin it to the shaft and stop it from wereing and take the play out of the older ones it is 130$ and they said about 4 hours to change by the time you get to the part under everything im mine should be here anyday now i dont know if that will help the sticky steering but it might help . ill let you know i never heard of any other kit but im going to check into it thanks.
