I have a 2003 predator 500, it iddle great and reating well when on neutral or when de clutch is pressed.
when it's under load it have hard time to pick up high rpm, then I pull the clutch to get higher rpm then it runs awesome all the way to 4th gear full throttle then it dies like the fuel line is empty
any thought what my probleme might be?
Changed the CDI box
changed the ignition coil
changed spark plug
cleaned the carb

Unclog the vent to the fuel tank and verify the float bowl vent on the carb is not obstructed

thx Latebird, I'll try that. where is the float bowl vent on the carb is located?

In the entire service manual there is no clear pic of the vent location - this was the best depiction I could find ant it may or may not be representative of the carb that you have.

Check the float needle. Lots of times it will get clogged and allow the machine to run but can’t keep up under a heavy load. Requires a very thorough cleaning.
