I have a 2009 Polaris Sportsman 800 efi and I need to replace the primary clutch cap (I had it broken). Can I purchase a different clutch with different part number and take the cap of (pic below)? The part number on my primary clutch is 1322749

No - the cover is part of the assembly - and the unit is balanced with the cover installed. You can swap the cover with another and have the assembly re-balanced, but what cover will fit is unknown unless you buy an assembly with the same part number.

Take the clutch to a machine shop with the capability to balance the it - search out a clutch manufacturer willing to rebalance the unit or contact a performance clutch shop who can spin balance it.
