Ive got an 09 850, and Ive been having problems with the timing since the rebuild. On tdc I have slack on all valves except the exhaust valves on the back cylinder. Ive checked and re-checked tdc and everything else the book says to do, but I still dont have slack. Id even say the valves are a little open. What could cause this.

FYI, it ran fine but you could hear the rockers chattering, pulled plugs and the back one is black and the front one is clean. If you rev'ed it up when its cold and let off the throttle in neutral the throttle will go down in rpm's like it should but instead of leveling out at idle rpm it would die. Hope someone can help me out.

When I adjusted the valves on mine, I couldn't get them all loose at Tdc, had to roll engine around cant remember which ones were loose and which were tight, just remember it wasn't like the book said, believe I rolled it 180 and adjusted the other valves, ran better than ever
