I've got a '98 Trail Boss 250. How can I quiet the exhaust? It sounds loudest in the bend of the pipe up by the cylinder.

It's not that loud back at the end of the exhaust. It's louder where the two joints at the bend of the header pipe is. Is there a way to seal the joints?

there is a product that is like double stick white fluffy 3M tape. for instance, i know moose makes it. what you do is cut it to the length you need, and stick it in spots like exhaust joints ect, and then as it heats up with the exhaust, it expands to fill in all the little leaks there. probably would help.

a quick google search brought me to this link:

this is exactly the product i was talking about. our dealership stocked it, but look around, you might find it cheaper
