Good mounting solution. My buddy used to lay his down flat. It was a pain to remove the box to fuel the quad. The upright mounts add more rear rack room...

nice, I've got a junior mounted on each side in back and plan to put one large (water) across the back as you did.

Changed it back to laying flat on the front. Very convenient off the back but I knew it was not the best choice as far as gravity.....decided to not tempt fate after a few rides. Never flipped over but have flipped over before and the extra weight on the back was just asking for trouble. Little less convenient to get to the can, filling, venting or emptying but flipping over backwards is pretty inconvenient also..........
