I have a 05 ranger 500 4x4 and the rear gearbox is shot and it seems very hard to find a good one. Has anyone ever converted to a different model gearbox?

I have seen that one it just seems like a lot for a used part with really unknown condition but it is a option

Power sports nation is a reputable site to order from and $600 or whatever it is is better than the $1000+ a new one would be.

Yep, the only other good one I saw was $850 used. I have bought a LOT of parts from PSN and never had a complaint.
