So it started as simple steering and minor suspenson rebuild. It ended up as complete overhaul of all the suspension bushings, brake caliper rebuild / flush (new brakes F&R), steering linkage replacement, new cv's rear, fronts were OK (just a good cleaning w/fresh grease).
OK so as we disassembled the beast every thing was labeled -bagged & tagged.
It's what retired aerospace engineers do during a pandemic!
So now its reassembly time and coming together nicely. BUT just hit my first hiccup. During disassembly there were two 1/8" breather hoses attached with a metal slip on clip to the top of the steering stem.
• One was the gas tank breather
• the other one was not connected to anything, but it had the tell tale "connecting bulge" on one end so it had to go to something.
SO after all this hot air - MY QUESTION!
Where does this second 1/8" breather hose go? Being a bit OCD from my working years - just can't let this go!
Any gurus out there that can help a senile senior before he goes bonkers?
BTW taking this puppy down showed some pretty good design - crappy welding. Thanks for listening

I’m not sure what year they started using the new coolant bottle caps...yours might have a nipple for the mysterious hose.
