your EFI might be running a little lean. typically in carbed machines, a cherry red pipe is one sign the carb would be running lean, well its possible the map your EFI is using is too lean. best bet would be to take it to a dealer to plug it into the computer program all dealer have for a possible remap. they really shouldnt charge you (if you are out of warranty), at least not much at all, because for them its a plug and play deal. otherwise, if you can ask them to submit a "goodwill" warranty claim to polaris to cover the remap of a machine out of warranty.
i dont think your pipe should be getting cherry red, i havent seen it happen or heard of it before. but sadly the EFI is not really something you can work on yourself
