Yes it's a very well-known issue. Yes they have a reflash for the computer to take care of it. Yes take it back and have it done.
Brand new 2022 Sportsman 570 Trail giving release brakes message on display screen. Check engine light comes on as well. No brakes on. Goes away when you turn off the atv. Comes back which you start driving again. Dealer said this is known issue. Needs to be reprogrammed. Anyone else have this issue or heard about it.
Take them back to the Dealer, there is a softwere flash available to cure that problem.Yes, bought two new 450’s. They both ave the flashing “disco” screen and “release brake” message in first 10 minutes of driving….brand new vehicles.
Yes, as I understand it, there were 2 separate problems that were covered under warranty. One was the ECM programming reflash. And the other was faulty brake switches. I believe all of the ‘23 models had the correct ECM programming but suffered from the faulty switch.2023 Sportsman 570 Trail...same error > flashing dash > release parking brake > engine check light on
with ignition on or with engine running brake lights stay on all the time but brakes are released and do not drag on the rotors
pulled the connector off brake light switch > checked continuity across the 2 pins on the switch > had continuity when it shouldn't
called dealer and they confirmed seeing lots of bad brake switches > dealer warrantied switch and 2 banjo sealing washers
I asked about a software flash and he laughed.

if you are experiencing a flashing dash > release parking brake > engine check light on I would just unplug the brake light switch to cancel the annoying distractions till you can get it fixedDoes it hurt to drive them while you wait for the dealer to do the warranty work?
