I have a 2009 Sportsman 800 X2. I have had it in the garage since fall and put it away with no problems. I have recently put on a windshield and grip warmers and decided today to take it for a ride down the street and see how they work. When I started the bike I couldn't put it in gear and it seemed to be revving higher then normal. I turned it off put it in reverse and backed out, When I went to stop I put on the brake and the back wheels kept on trying to turn and I couldn't take it out of reverse till I turned the bike off. I put it in High and started it up.. thinking a run down the road would help but it didn't and is still doing it. any ideas?

I'd check for any tension on the throttle cable since you've done some mods in that area.

Figured it out.. Ram mount for the GPS was causing tension on the throttle cable. Boy do I feel stupid right now.. Thanks for the help
