HELP!!!

My wife and I are headed to Phoenix THIS FRIDAY and are trying to decide whether to take our ATVs or ride double on our friends' ATVs. The issue is carburetor jets. We are jetted for about 6,000 ft(I think a 52 jet, but not sure). I am concerned about running too lean at about 500 to 1200 ft in Phoenix and damaging our engines. Am I correct or would we be OK doing a one day ride at low speeds at low altitude?

Should be fine........will use a bit more fuel, will be a bit rich.

^^^ You got it backward. It will be a little lean.

Only take you about 20 min and about $5 each to change the main jet.

Running lean at low altitude

Am I risking damage to my engine if I don't change the jet out?

I would change it, it will be to lean and can cause piston failure
it will not run right with some throttle issues and backfiring from a lean cond.

if you re-jetted to the higher altitude, i would swap them back to the stock ones. Would rather run abit rich than lean.

If the scenario was reversed, i would say don't bother, as running rich for a weekend wont hurt. BUt lean i would be concerned and probably swap the jets
