I’m having a problem with my sons 50 where anytime he goes through even small puddles he sucks water into the airbox and it dies. Is there a fix for this?

Polaris advises traversing water no deeper than the floorboards and the vehicle is supposed to traverse all water covered terrain slowly. Traversing water properly will exclude water from the air box. It's up to the observer/instructor to school the operator on the proper procedure for traversing water covered terrain.

Fabricate your own Outerwares pre filter over the air intake.

And by fabricating, I mean simply ziptie it.

That’s a good idea thanks for the suggestion. I also realized when I took it apart that the bottom half wasn’t seated correctly and there was a gap so I realigned everything and used some rtv to seal it up. It’s not running right anymore he must have sucked some dirt into the carb. More wrenching to be done
