I have a 2013 Polaris Sportsman 850 XP that has had serious problems since I bought it.The 1st problem is The clutch howles and screeches,I've taken it to two different Polaris dealers that have claimed to fixed the problem by changing belts as well as adjusted the clutch, only to have it howl and screech less then a week later. After that I took it to another dealer, that supposedly fixed the problem by changing and adjusting the cultch as well as installing another new belt. Now the problem reoccurred, less then a week later, and now it's shifting really hard....I would to know if anyone else has had these issues and what you(or your dealer) done to fix it.Thanks...

Sounds like the clutches are out of alignment. May also want to check your motor mounts.

How do you ride your bike and what are you doing when it happens to act up?

The clutches can certainly be out of alignment. That's what the washers on the secondary shaft do- align the clutches. We need a little more info on your machine. Tires, riding conditions, etc. If you've got stock clutching with big heavy tires and are riding in the mud in high gear, then the problem is you. If you've got a stock machine with stock clutching and trail ride it easy, then you have an issue with your clutches.

Short of changing alignment, there are no adjustments you can make in the clutches without changing parts.
