I'm getting ready to change springs on my 2014 850 xp, was wondering about changing shocks. Putting better springs any suggestions about shocks. Don't want to spend $900 on shocks though.

Entry level Elkas are $650 ish and come with springs. I don't know that you can buy shocks by them self, or that they would be worth your $.
Unless you have a blown stocker, just put the new springs on.

Don't know if shocks are good til take springs off. Are the elka like the HD or efis? Thanks for response

Elka's are the best shock/spring you can buy for your atv, but they are expensive. The $650ish mentioned above would be the price for a pair, not all four. I doubt you can buy just their shock without the springs, nor would you want to, but a call to Elka would answer that question for you, with no forum speculation.
