I have a 1995 Sportsman 400. Sometimes it will not shut off with either the key or kill switch. Also, everytime this happens I can not take it over 1/4 throttle without it boggin down. Then out of nowhere it will run fine and shut off just like it is supposed to. Sometimes everything works like it should, other times it acts lick this. It acts fine about 50% of the time. Someone had told me that it might be the nuetral safety switch and to jump it and try that, but I can't see why that would affect the kill switch. Any ideas?

Had the same problem with my 94 sportsman. I changed the cdi box to a used unit I found on e-bay and now it runs great.
