Hi,

To day I managed to submerged my fathers Sportsman 6x6 in water(clean water no mud). I had to drain the CVT and air box and hand crank the engine without the sparkplug for a while before I put on the sparkplug back on.
After all this I had to drive about 6 miles back home with the water contaminated engine oil.
Now, my question is. Will this hurt the engine badly(not reving over 4000 rpm)? The engine did run smoothly all the way back home and no noises of any kind. I will change the oil asap tomorrow!
A last question. What kind of engine oil should I use?

I agree on the oil but I would change it and the filter then run it at idle to full temp and then change it again.

Thanks guys. I've changed the oil twice now, but I used fully synthetic 5W-40 API SL oil but I will buy a Polaris oil change kit anyway before I use "the boss" for real again. :happysad:
