G'day All,

Have picked up a sportsman 500, believe it to be the 2007 deluxe efi model.

Having trouble getting power to the fuel pump and injector and was wondering if there is any way to test the ECU and PDM before buying new.

Ideally want to hear the motor running to know if its worth continuing.

Any help would be appreciated,

Any codes??

Other then that go through the wire harness and look for damaged wires.

Reason I say this is the only way to test the ECU is with a known operational ECU.

I would also check the grounds and 12V+ at the ECU.

If you just want to verify the condition of the motor - spray starting fluid into the intake or spritz gas on the air filter while cranking the engine - if the ignition is working and the engine has good compression, you should be able to get it started to hear it run, then tackle the fuel issue.
