Ok so here's my story. I was riding with some friends and the machine died out of nowhere. It would turn over but not start. I towed it home and began to try and troubleshoot the problem.

At first I thought it might just be a fouled plug or something simple. I replaced the spark plug and still nothing. I had a new fuel pump sitting here as a backup so I put that in and still nothing. It's getting plenty of fuel (I can tell from the wet plug and smell from the exhaust). I pulled the plug out and it's sparking just fine. I then installed a new crank position even though the old one was testing fine. Still won't start. I am lost at what it could be as I have fuel and spark. Something is messing up the timing of some sorts.

I tested the stator and the book says .2ohms between the legs +- 15%. I am getting .5ohms across all 3 legs so they are consistent but not within spec. Also all 3 legs are open (infinity) when connected to ground.

Could someone with a 570 please test their stator plug to see what their readings are?

Ok so I am lost and up for suggestions before I start looking at the computer.

1. Battery voltage is good
2. getting fuel
3. getting spark
4. already replaced crank position sensor
5. not sure of the stator is ok as it's testing a little high in the ohms reading but consistent between the 3 legs.
6. Compressions is good

If someone could please test their stator readings for me so I can cross that off the list of potential problem.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions and ideas

Oh dear god tell me you solved this problem. Absolutely identical issues with my 14 570. Also same stator readings.
That post was from seven years ago. Chances of getting a response to posts that old are slim. New guys please look at the date of the posts. If you have a concern about your machine start a new post. Better chance of a response for your post.
