The cheaper 570 has better engine/transmission than the more expensive XP550? Both come with EPS and the difference is 1400 dollars ! Any thoughts ?
The engine and transmission have been in the 570 RZR for a year now. I would say they have had time to work the bugs out. Not really a first year run per say, just in a different chassis.I would says lets wait a year or two before we start saying it has a better motor or transmission. One thing I have learned in my years is never buy the first year production run on any vehicle. Can you say guinea pig?The cheaper 570 has better engine/transmission than the more expensive XP550? There have been a bunch at the shop with transmission problems though. The motor seems solid though. The engine and transmission have been in the 570 RZR for a year now. The 800 is a twin. But not the new Prostar series of engines. They can easily produce 100HP/litre.I thought that the 800 is a twin? And what is the Prostar motor?Maybe they will replace the 800 with a prostar twin?Would it not make more sense to keep the value line 500 and delete the 550xp and add a 650 xp twin instead.
Polaris is upgrading the value line, not expanding it.
I expect the 400 will be next.
Thanks Will. Something new for me learn about:cowboy:The next logical step, they need to evolve. But what IS the Prostar motor? Like what makes it special? The 800 is a twin. But not the new Prostar series of engines. They can easily produce 100HP/litre.
The 570/900 are Prostar engines.
Sorta like GM's LS engines, light years better than any of the old engines.
