Just bought a 2002 700 Sportsman has 400 miles and 65hrs great shape paid 2900 is this a good price. Not familar with the cvt operation and if it is functioning correctly, when i go from Reverse to High it sounds like it is engaging gear is this normal. It has the engine brake feature how does this work, when i am going down a hill and let off gas it will sloww like the brakes are on is this correct, is there a way to tell if trans is working correctly. just want to make sure everything is right any help with this would be appreciated. I have been riding gear models and not used to cvt, this atv has a lot of power.

If the mileage and hours are correct then its not a bad deal at all.The EBS is doing its job if it slows down like that. The ebs saves on brake pad wear. That is normal.Welcome to the site
