I have a 2003 sportsman 700 that has an issue that is puzzling. I use it to plow and had no issues the first couple times. Now when I plow, it will stall after about 5 minutes of plowing (regardless of how long I let it warm up). At first, I was able to change the fuel switch to reserve, and it would start up and run. Very minor back firing (one small pop when let off the throttle, but not every time).

Now I can leave on reserve, and it will still stall. Been getting harder to start each time. Last time I let it sit for 5 minutes. It started right up and ran fine for the rest of the time I used it (30 + minutes).

I've read posts about gas getting hot and venting, but I don't touch anything and it will start up and run fine until I shut it off. Thought it was something in the tank, but this happens consistently. I see many have tried many different fixes and was hoping to use the experience out there to help narrow down the possibilities. I have the service manual but I don't want to go fishing and make a minor issue into a major issue.

Any ideas where to start would be greatly appreciated.
