I have a 2004 Sportsman 700 that won't seem to disengage. It wants to keep moving at idle. I can't get it out of gear unless I shut it off. It does this intermittently but often. Any idea on what the problem could be?
check your clutch alignment, the belt should be riding in the center of the primary. you can adjust the alignment by adding or removing the washers behind the seconday. there can be only 3 max behind seconday. also check motor mounts I heard that the have had some problems on the bigger machines. I had same problem that you have on my 700 all I had to do was adjust the clutch alignment.
