i just got my sportsman back running and now its stuck in reverse. the lights show that its in neutral and the reverse light flickers, when i go into high gear it stays in reverse. how do i fix this?

so it shifts ok? just the light is out of whack? it would help if you specify what model and year you have, but it sounds like you may need a new gear selector sensor, it's located on your tranny where the shift rod goes to, it's black, kinda looks like an "I" just make sure the connection is good and tight.
