Hi guys , This is my first post. I have a 1997 Polaris Magnum 425 4x4. I just had a bunch of carb work done at the shop for hard starting and rough idle. It starts and idles good but now I'm having a new issue. It seems the idle is high and when I plow into a pile of snow I can't get it out of gear. Is there a way to lower idle without touching air/fuel mixture. Tried to research this and can't find any "idle screw" Thanks

Yes there is a way

The detailed answer is in the service manual, here's a list of many from that era. Index of /ORV Manuals/Polaris

There s/b a screw underneath your carb, facing upwards. Turn it counter clockwise to lower rpms.

Certainly a high idle will cause the shifter to be very stiff, EZ fix. :cowboy:
