Good morning. I have a 2005 Sportsman 800. I need to change the bearing in the rear left wheel. I've gotten the wheel off, but the hub seems to be stuck/frozen/rusted to the axle. I simply can not get it to come off. I have tried pounding on the hub and on the axle and it just isn't budging. Do you happen to have any suggestions on how I might be able to get the hub off? Is there a tool that might help me with this. Thanks much for your help.

Assuming that you already took the nut off, you might be able to use a 3 jaw puller on it. Spray the inside with your favorite penetrating lube and let it sit for a while. Try the puller and see if you can get it to move. Might have to spray it a few times to get it to free up.

I would definitely put a strong puller on it and use penetrating oil - Let it sit overnight with tension on the puller and then give the head of the puller a few hits with a hammer the next day that should break it loose !
