My wife and I are taking the new 800 up north in 2 weeks and was creating a list and getting things together for our 2 day trip. I've been up north before on a Blaster, but never carried a single (just in case) tool. Now that I have the room...here's my list so far.

Straps
Bungees
tow rope
zip ties
The tool kit Polaris provides plus some of the other basic tools
belt
oil
spark plugs
tire plugs with Slime and a small compressor
extra gloves
small first aid kit
flashlight
4 gallon fuel pack

That's about all I can think of for now. Kinda seems like a lot, but we all know sh!t can go wrong in a second. This is all for a trail riding weekend...not an atv park.

What do you guys carry? What should I add to the list?

Jumper cables, space blanket, compass, signal mirror, whistle, handgun, fire starter, a quart of oil, a quart of coolant, fire extinguisher, extra coat, drinks and snacks, spare fuses, spare lug nuts, spare spark plug,

I think that covers my normal traveling items.

Did that when I was 20, but no phone! 3 Banshees and 2 Blasters went up north....I don't think one tool. haha. Not one problem either!

Just trying to be prepared now.

a lot of good things to add. Some of them imho are overboard...but to each their own. Either way, my list is growing!

We dont really bring much on the trail right now...

Logging chain
Maps
Water/snacks
TP
Springfield XD .40
Camera

Left in the truck...
Tools
Extra gas

Speaking of extra gas, how much do yall normally bring with you when out riding for the day or weekend. We are looking at getting the rotopax gas cans. Not sure if we want to put 2 gallons of water and 2 of gas on each ATV, or have total 6 gallons of gas and 2 gallons of water. Heck we could always stack them on the wifes ATV and do 6 of each or 8 gas and 4 water!

I'm new in the Polaris game and packing all these things and I bought a Roto 4 gallon. Better to have enough then not enough.

Could someone tell me what the most important wrenches or sockets to take with you, I just bought a 850xp LE touring and there is not a lot of storage, I am coming over from a rzr where I carried a whole tool set+
Thanks and didn't mean to jack the thread

I have the xp550 and the rear rack storage box and I bring the most common metric and regular wrenches with me in a ziploc bag. The ratchet wrenches are awesome since they don't take up much space and can be used like normal wrenches or as ratcheting wrenches

StealthLE, I like the way you think. Why cargo box are you using. My bike is new and I am in the process of rigging it out for mountian rides. I'd really like to see how you have rigged yours out to carry all this equipment. Do you have any pictures of your bike (ready to ride).

Happy trails
