I just bought a 99 Scrambler 400 two-stroke and the throttle was really hard to push. I lubed it up and that didn't help much. It's pretty worn by the oil pump and looks like it might be getting pinched so I bought a new cable (not as cheap as I had hoped...). I've been looking for some information or tips on how to install a new cable so that the carb and oil pump are in sync.

Can anyone give me some tips, instructions from a manual, or a link to a manual? I would really appreciate it!

as far as proper adjustment ,with engine at idle, the two slash marks( one on pump body, the other on pump shaft) on the oil pump should line up.
